National Geographic and SkyPixel: two drone photo contests are accepting entries

Have an awesome drone image you took in the past year? There’s not one, but TWO major drone photo contests happening now.

Dronestagram’s International Drone Photography Contest with National Geographic

Dronestagram is hosting its fourth annual drone photo contest in partnership with National Geographic. There are three photo categories: nature, urban and people.

Submissions will be accepted until June 30 at 1 p.m. GMT, and awards will be announced on July 3.

DJI’s SkyPixel 2017 Aerial Video Contest

SkyPixel is hosting the 2017 SkyPixel Video Contest, which is accepting entries between June 2 and August 2.

There are three categories: Nature, City, and Sport.  Submissions should not be longer than five minutes and should include at least 30 seconds of aerial footage. And while the contest is hosted by DJI, videos captured from any type of aerial platform are welcome.

Prizes include a DJI Inspire 2 Premium Combo, Nikon D750 Body + 24-70 mm VR 2.8 Lens, a DJI Mavic Pro Fly More Combo, DJI Spark and more.

There’s also a People’s Choice Prize for the top ten most liked videos.
