The best end of year drone deals to close out 2022

There’s Black Friday weekend. There’s the pre-Christmas deals. But as stores seek to clear out their inventory and reach their 2022 revenue targets, there’s sometimes no better time to get a discount on drones than the end of the year.

Between holiday sales that are valid through 12/31, and fresh, end of year drone deals, here are the top savings on drones and drone-adjacent products out there. And hey, maybe Santa got you cash or a gift card for Christmas. There’s no better way to treat yourself than these end of year drone deals:

All sorts of drone and camera deals on B&H Photo

B&H has a ton of deals, but you’ll have to act fast as many of them end today. The best part is that you’ll get these things fast, as B&H is promising free next day delivery on many of its most discounted items. Among the best deals out there on B&H Photo are:

35% off Autel EVO drones

This is the same deal that was offered initially a part of the Autel Black Friday 2022 sale, and then it was brought back in the couple weeks before Christmas, with a final sale date of Jan. 2.

That means between now and Jan. 2, 2023, you’ll have what’s likely your last opportunity until later in 223 to see savings of up to 35% on Autel drone bundles. This deal also includes savings of 20% on Autel batteries.

As far as prices go, the EVO Nano+ Premium Bundle is now just $709, and the EVO Lite+ Premium Bundle is now just $1,199 — both 35% discounts. The discounted prices are valid both on Autel’s website and on Amazon.

Free gifts with purchase through DJI’s website until Jan. 1, 2023

When you shop directly with DJI between now and Jan. 1, 2023, some product purchases come with a bonus gift with purchase. Here are the items that come with an extra little goodie:

Other end of year deals on stuff drone pilots will like

Not specific to drones, but there is a ton of other general electronics, camera and travel stuff, that most drone pilots will also be interested in. Here are some of the other great end of year deals for 2022 that I found:

$300 off the Jackery Explorer 1000 Portable Power Station: This is great for charging drones when you don’t otherwise have access to power, such as for camping trips. This portable power station is easily the best of its kind. It’s light enough to lift and carry (weighing 22 pounds), but also powerful enough to support laptops, cameras, drones and other electronics as they charge.

Port options include AC, USB-A, and USB-C. It has a rated max output of 1,000 W and a rated capacity of 1,000 Wh.

And even if you’re not camping, this is great to have on hand at home in case the power goes out and in other emergency situations — especially if storms put out the power for extended periods of time.

There is a slightly newer model that provides even more power and includes a full solar charge, which is presumably why this one is on sale. The new model costs $1,099 versus this one’s $769 price, but most folks should find the cheaper, older model to be better given the savings.

$50 off the Canon RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM Lens: For people breaking into digital camera (with a Canon dSLR), this is an excellent starter telephoto lens, which you’ll want for wildlife photography, portraits and more.

$34 off the Vanguard Alta Pro 2+ 263AB100 Tripod: Here’s another great one for folks looking to break into digital photography with a dSLR camera. This Vanguard Alta Pro 2+ 263AB100 Tripod can support more than 15 pounds, which is above average. Its legs angle, shorten and lengthen to seemingly endless styles, making this a versatile tripod.

$3 off the Anker PowerLine II USB-A to Lightning Cable (10 Feet): Whether you’re looking for a low-cost item to meet the free shipping minimum because you don’t have Amazon Prime, or you’re just fed up with the fact that your current lighting cable isn’t long enough to allow you to charge your phone as you read it in bed, it’s time to order the Anker PowerLine II USB-A to Lightning Cable. It’s an impressive 10-feet long!
