The best 2021 Black Friday drone deals
Black Friday is closing in on us, and we’ve been following all the deals — many of which came early this year. And luckily, there are plenty of 2021 Black Friday drone deals to be had.
Many of the deals are available now, so don’t wait, considering how ongoing supply chain shortage issues mean the odds of items getting sold out are higher than ever. That said, if you do want to think about it, you do have some time as many of these deals run through Cyber Monday, Nov. 29, and some even beyond that:
With that, here are the best 2021 Black Friday drone deals (and we’ll continue to update this page as more deals come!):
The best 2021 Black Friday drone deals
It’s not just the “old models” that are on sale this year. Black Friday 2021 drone deals including the newest drones from Skydio, as well as some of my favorite DJI drones too.
$400 off Skydio 2 Starter Kit
At $400 off (bring its old $1,349 price tag down to $949), this is the lowest price we’ve seen for the Skydio 2 Starter Kit. That’s the incredible, follow-me, crash-proof drone, plus a kit with additional, practically must-have accessories like an extra battery, a custom hardshell case and two extra propellers.
The deal is part of the ongoing Skydio Holiday Promo, which launched at the beginning of November.
If you’re looking for the best follow-me drone and your two top priorities are actually crash-proof while still fitting your budget, then there’s no better pick than the Skydio 2. My other favorite crash-proof drone is the DJI Mavic 3 and — while the camera is massively superior — it’s more than twice the cost.
The Skydio 2 is not sold through any third-party sites, and can only be purchased directly through Skydio. Take advantage of the Skydio 2 Starter Kit sale here.
$100 off the DJI Mavic Mini Fly More Combo (plus free gift)
The DJI Mavic Mini is already an incredible value as-is, and is my top-recommend drone for under $500. While the video quality isn’t quite as good as what you’ll get on other DJI camera drones (2.7K on the Mavic Mini vs. 4K on the Mini 2 and most other DJI drones), it’s still excellent quality for posting videos to social media or making home videos.
Plus, this drone only weighs 249 grams, which is great for casual pilots who don’t want to worry about registering or Remote ID rules.
The DJI Mavic Mini Combo typically goes for $499, but if you purchase it now from B&H Photo, you’ll save $100 and pay only $399. Plus, B&H will throw in a nice little freebie stocking stuffer: a DJI Propeller Holder (a $13 value).
If you don’t need the full Combo version (you just want the DJI Mavic Mini drone and bare-bones accessories), we spotted it on Amazon this week for just $299.

$300 off the DJI FPV Drone Combo
The DJI FPV drone is one of the more unique drones out there, marrying the flight style and high speeds of drone racing with high-quality video footage. Reaching maximum speeds of 87 mph, the drone is also capable of a maximum acceleration of 0-62 mph in just two seconds. It’s also powerful for photographers, capable of shooting footage with its 4K/60fps 120 Mbps camera, with the option to film in 4x slow motion in 1080p and 120 fps.
Purchase the combo version of DJI FPV, which includes bundled goggles, on B&H Photo for just $999. It’s normally $1,299, so you’re looking at $300 savings.
Black Friday deals on drone accessories
$100 off a crazy-powerful memory card
If you’re filming on one of DJI’s higher-end camera drones, like the new DJI Mavic 3, you’ll likely need a beefy memory card to go with it. At B&H Photo, the SanDisk 1TB Ultra UHS-I microSDXC Memory Card is more than $100 off, down to $137.99 (normally $239.99).
$25 off the Lowepro LP37099 DroneGuard BP 250 Drone Backpack
If you’re not purchasing one of the combo kits that includes a drone backpack, you might just end up buying a backpack a la carte anyway.
TheLowepro DroneGuard BP 250 Drone Backpack keeps this organized. What’s more, I’ve never seen this model on sale, so jump on this deal now. On Amazon, it’s normally $108, but on sale for $82.50 this Black Friday.

Black Friday deals on gift cards
For the dronie who has it all (or perhaps for the dronie who wants a gift that’s out of your budget), give them a gift card instead. I spotted some great gift card details to retailers that drone pilots tend to gravitate to.
$100 Apple Gift Card + Free $15 Best Buy Gift Card
Purchase an $100 Apple Gift Card from Best Buy’s website, and you’ll get a bonus $15 Best Buy e-gift card with purchase. Yes, Best Buy sells drones.
$100 Apple Gift Card + $15 Target Gift Card
Purchase an $100 Apple Gift Card from Best Buy’s website, and you’ll get a bonus $15 Target gift card with purchase. I love Target for not just drones, but pretty much everything!
Other Black Friday deals that drone pilots should love
And beyond the drones and accessories themselves, there’s plenty more to be had in terms of deals. Many of these items would make great gifts for drone enthusiasts, or could prove useful for the people who presumably have all the drone tech already.
Drone Pilot Ground School Part 107 test prep training
If you’re getting serious about flying drones, then you should get your drone pilot’s license, which is required for anyone flying drones commercially under FAA Part 107. But even if you aren’t flying drones for pay, certification is certainly cool to have. To get certified and earn that drone pilot’s license, you’ll have to pass a written Aeronautical Knowledge Test. And to study for it, I recommend using the Drone Pilot Ground School online course.
This year,Drone Pilot Ground School is running a Black Fly-Day sale by offering an $107 discount on its web course. This year, the online course drops in price from $299 to $192, which amounts to 36% off.

FlytBase software
This one could be appealing to small business owners who fly commercial drone missions for work. Subscriptions for FlytBase’s remote drone operations and fleet management software, FlytNow Live are on sale now. Their tech enables autonomous aerial workflows without a docking station and is used by industries that need drones to improve efficiency, like monitoring high-value assets or gaining information in emergency response situations.
Silicon Valley-based FlytBase was founded in 2016 as way to provide drone-agnostic software solutions to
automate and scale drone operations. It was previously a part of Cisco’s accelerator program. Perhaps its largest competitor is Silicon Valley-based DroneDeploy, which is one of the largest software companies out there.
The FlytNow Auto+ Starter Kit is on sale for $399 (normally $999). Their subscription service, FlytNow Live, which enables operation management via the cloud is just $89 for a 12-month membership (normally $588).
While Drone Girl has not reviewed FlytBase’s product, this could be a deal to jump on if it’s something you’ve had your eye on.
Their sale runs through Nov. 30.
