The Mavic Mini 2 is one of my favorite drones for new drone pilots to get into aerial photography. It’s a super-portable piece of gear that can fit in your carry-on bag, capable of shooting high-quality photos and videos at an affordable price tag. And even though it’s actually quite easy to fly, you don’t want to send your new, precious drone in the air without knowing what you’re doing. And that’s where Mavic Mini 2 training comes in handy.
Online drone training website Drone Launch Academy offers a Mavic Mini 2 training course called Mini 2 Mastery. It’s normally $49, but as a thank you to readers, I’m offering it to you FOR FREE. Use this link to sign up, and enter promo code DRONEGIRLFREE.
Drone Launch Academy are the same folks who offer an online Part 107 test prep course, aptly named the Part 107 Prep Course from Drone Launch Academy. But the company is growing to cover other aspects of drone knowledge you need, including a roofing inspection course and a photography course called Aerial Photo Pro.
And now, the company has launched Mini 2 Mastery, as a guide to learning everything you need to know about your Mini 2 drone. Topics include how the Mini 2 works, how to set it up, how to fly it, how to take photos and videos, and everything in between. You’ll learn Mavic Mini 2 transmission settings, the flight modes, how to use QuickShots, and more. It’s taught by Jorge Casamiquela, who runs his own drone business, JFC Productions.
The Mavic Mini is especially popular for new pilots. Given its small size of less than 249 grams, it is not subject to registration or Part 107 requirements under the FAA. But despite being small, it’s a powerhouse. It’s got a max battery life of 31 minutes, can resist 29-38kph winds and take off at a max altitude of 4,000 meters. Plus, the Mini 2 supports up to 10 km of HD video transmission.
