Women in Drones lunch is back again for Interdrone 2018
The fourth annual Women in Drones Luncheon is back again for this year’s 2018 Interdrone conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Emerald Expositions, which operates the conference, announced this month that the luncheon will be held on Thursday, Sept. 6 at 12:15 p.m. at the conference, which will be held in Las Vegas’s Rio Hotel.
The lineup of speakers for the luncheon changes every year (I had the privilege of speaking at the luncheon during Interdrone’s first two years in 2015 and 2016). This year’s host will be Suzanne Lemieux, the UAS Lead and Manager at the American Petroleum Institute. Other speakers on the lineup include Lia Reich, VP Marketing-Communications at PrecisionHawk, Sharon Rossmark, CEO and Founder of Women and Drones, and Mariah Scott, President of Skyward, A Verizon Company.

New to this year’s luncheon will include the reveal of the 2018 Women to Watch in UAS list, which is gathered by female drone group “Women and Drones.”
You can register to be a part of the conference — and luncheon — here.
Interdrone is one of the largest drone events in the entire world and includes more than 110 workshops, panels or sessions, and a networking reception. Acting Administrator of the Federal Aviation Adminstration Daniel K. Elwell will give the keynote presentation at this year’s conference. The other keynote announced so far for Interdrone 2018 will be led by Dr. Joseph Rios, the Chief Engineer for NASA’s UAS Traffic Management (UTM) project. Interdrone conference organizers say they expect to host about 15 keynotes total.
Interdrone saw a whopping 3,700 attendees in 2017, up about 10% in attendance from its 2016 conference.
Hi,
I was looking for a drone for my 12 years kid, what do you think would be the best drone for him? He don’t know how to fly drone, and do you think that these drones could be danger for him. Please suggest something.
