Attention filmmakers: you still have a week to enter the NYC Drone Film Festival

Have an awesome film that you shot with a drone?

The 2016 New York City Drone Film Festival is accepting submissions through 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31 for its festival at the Directors Guild of America Theater and the Liberty Science Center, from March 4- March 6.

For an idea of what you’re up against, here were some of last year’s winners:

Narrative and Best in Show Winner:

X-Factor Winner:

FPV/Proximity/Technical Winner:

The judges include former Head of Aerial Imaging at DJI, Eric Cheng, and Yahoo Tech founder David Pogue, who I separately am a fan-girl of, mostly over his New York Times review of the Yamaha NU1 (fun fact: I love piano more than I love drones).

Drone film festivals are increasingly becoming all the rage. Earlier this year I visited the Bay Area Drone Film Festival in San Francisco, Calif.

And last year, my media friends over at That Drone Show, David and Sarah, covered the 2015 Drone Film Festival.

Check it out, happy flying, and happy filming!
